Junior Graphic Designer

Junior Graphic Designer

As a Junior Graphic Designer at Burnt, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand identity through engaging online and offline design materials. You will collaborate with the design team to create visually stunning assets for digital platforms, including social media graphics, website elements, email campaigns, as well as offline channels such as packaging, print collateral, and in-store visuals. This role offers a diverse and exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing ecommerce brand that values creativity, innovation, and a holistic design approach.

Responsibilities:

1. Digital Design:

  • Develop visually compelling graphics for online platforms, including social media, website banners, and email campaigns.
  • Ensure a seamless and consistent online brand presence by applying design principles to digital assets.

2. Print Collateral and Packaging Design:

  • Create eye-catching designs for brochures, flyers, and other print materials that align with online branding efforts.
  • Design packaging materials that enhance the overall product experience and maintain brand consistency.

3. In-Store and Online Visuals:

  • Collaborate with the team to design captivating visuals for both physical retail spaces and online storefronts.
  • Create engaging visuals for online promotions and campaigns.

4. Branding and Identity:

  • Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of our brand identity across both online and offline channels.

5. Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and digital teams, to ensure design alignment with overall brand objectives.

6. Research and Trend Analysis:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging design technologies, and competitor activities to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects, with a focus on both online and offline elements.
  • Excellent understanding of design principles, color theory, typography, and branding.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with web design and user interface (UI) design.
  • Familiarity with motion graphics, image editing and video editing.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly design practices.

Cluster Manager [Gauteng]

Job Description

As the Cluster Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee the operations of multiple stores within a designated region. You will work closely with the Retail Sales Manager to ensure the effective management and performance of stores, drive sales targets, maintain high standards of customer service, and prioritize training and development initiatives across all stores within the cluster.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple stores within the assigned cluster.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards across all stores.

Sales Performance:

  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Support and guide Store Managers and staff to achieve sales targets and KPIs.

Staff Management and Development:

  • Recruit, train, and develop Store Managers and store staff to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to enhance staff performance and productivity.

Training and Development:

  • Develop and implement training programs and initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of store staff.
  • Conduct daily training sessions in all stores within the cluster, focusing on product knowledge, sales techniques, customer service, and operational procedures.

Visual Merchandising and Brand Representation:

  • Ensure that merchandise displays and store layouts are attractive and aligned with the brand's image and standards.
  • Maintain consistency in branding and visual presentation across all stores in the cluster.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels across stores to optimize stock levels and minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Implement inventory control measures to reduce shrinkage and ensure accuracy in stock management.

Customer Service and Experience:

  • Foster a customer-centric culture in stores, ensuring that all staff provide excellent service and address customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience and satisfaction.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure that all stores adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on store performance, sales, inventory, and operational issues to the Retail Sales Manager

Job Specification

Skills:

Experience and Qualification:

Experience in retail management, preferably in a multi-store environment. Knowledge of retail operations, sales management, and customer service.

Knowledge:

Retail management software, inventory management systems, visual merchandising principles.
